Salla built her career to establish herself as an industry pioneer, and an innovation leader focusing on emerging technology and digital transformation. With the digital building lifecycle framework, she continues to support building up people’s skills and organizational wisdom to respond to the requirements of the next generation-built environment industry. To balance her work, she is an active volunteer in professional networks and leadership communities to learn and share experiences.
John is one of the earliest industry practitioners of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and is a well-known and highly respected expert who specializes in BIM strategy, digital transformation, project planning and execution from a large owner’s perspective.
John has worked for Gafcon, Inc., an owner’s rep and construction management firm in San Diego, CA, for over 9 years as the Principal BIM Integrator. He has been instrumental in spearheading the authoring of BIM Guidelines for some of the world’s largest companies while assisting multiple large A/E and Construction teams develop BIM Execution Plans and optimize their BIM efforts on large-scale projects.
As an educator he has developed and taught graduate-level BIM classes in the University of Southern California’s world-renown Construction Management Department in Los Angeles as well as several community college-level BIM, architecture, and environmental studies classes at Orange Coast College and Saddleback College in southern California.
